The Styleopolitan

April 9, 2016

And then it was Africa time. The next collection is from Loayo Art & Creations. The collection pays homage to the designers Moroccan roots and this is evident from the use of bright colors, jewel tones, headscarves and statement neckpieces. There is also the addition of leather slippers inspired by Morocco as well.

The outfits in pictures 2&3 deserve a trip to Abudabi with my girl friends so I can bargain for spices and textiles in the countries famous street markets. Comfort and modesty do not have to mean boring.

I still feel like the collection did not pack a mean punch which is something that I’ve noticed about a lot of African designers. It kind of leaves you in limbo where you can’t decide if you love it or hate it. And I hate that.
