Loayo (pronounced Lo-Ay-o) was created by Moroccan born artist Loubna Ayouche Combalat.  

 

Growing up in Casablanca, Loubna was surrounded by creativity which inspired her to become a successful artist and designer. 

Her travels around the world, and especially throughout Africa, prompted her to choose South Africa to take her passion for painting beyond the canvas, into the world of modern fashion, brining her masterpieces to life. This culminated in the creation of Loayo's first collection in 2014 from Loubna's new home in Johannesburg.

Since then Loayo has been a regular designer at SA Fashion Week and featured in African Fashion International 2019.

 

Loubna’s artistic masterpieces are carefully transferred on to fabrics. These are then used to create unique garments, that represent the culture and beauty of Africa. Each piece breathing the vibrancy, energy and spirit of this amazing continent and its people.
